How Is Gold Like Your Mum?
They are both very precious.
They both have a special place in your heart.
They are both unrepayable.
They are both valuable to you.
You would love them both.
They both can't be replaced.
Diary Entry
Thursday 27th, June, 1851
Dear Diary,
Today we did not find any gold at all. I have a feeling that we won't find any for a long time.
W
e only had a cup of tea from the billy for breakfast which wasn't filling at all.
Now I am absolutely exhausted, tired and starving. The camp site is ok but it is starting to
get a bit overcrowded, there seems to be new diggers arriving everyday and I don't know
if there is going to be enough gold for all of us.
Most of all I miss me family
in good old England and I wish I was over there with them. Man I had some good times
over there but now I am just stuck here diggin for gold all day but we find nothing.
Another day has gone and I'm still in the same place but it seems like am getting further
and further away from me family in England. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.
